Health + Safety

As a turnkey space, Second Floor Events is proud to reimagine milestone occasions in the face of today's current events.

To ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff, we have implemented the following policies to ensure you have a safe experience. Here’s what you can expect:

Mask Policy

All staff and guests are required to always wear face mask while inside the venue. Masks may be temporally removed while seated to eat and drink

The couple are not required to wear their masks during the ceremony. Based on current restrictions, guests will be seated at their tables during the ceremony, unless the space allows for a formal, socially distanced setup.

Before entering the venue, all staff, vendors, and guests are required to complete a contact tracing questionnaire via a QR code that is located at our front entrance. Proof of a completed screening questionnaire is required before entering the venue.

Staff Health & Safety

Prior to each employees’ shift, they must complete the COVID-19 pre-shift screening checklist to determine if they are fit for work. Any employee who is experiencing symptoms, has traveled outside of Canada, or has come into contact with a positive or suspected case of COVID-19 will be required to stay home from work for a minimum of 14 days.

Physical Distancing

Every person in the venue must maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from every other person, except from their caregiver or from members of the person’s household.

Group Sizes

In accordance Toronto Public Health’s guidelines, we will limit our venue capacities in accordance with the most recent public health protocols.

Enhanced Sanitation Protocols

Hand sanitizer is will now be available for guests and staff in all high traffic areas. Frequent touch points will be sanitized at regular intervals. Every employee is required to wash their hands for 20 seconds upon entering the venue, as well as throughout their shift. Following each event, the venue will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, with all touch points, tables and chairs being wiped down.

Washroom Access

In order to maintain distancing between guests, we will limit the number of guests permitted in the washroom at a time. Each event will have an assigned attendant that will be sanitizing all high touchpoint surfaces throughout the event.

Vendors & Delivery Drivers

Signage will be posted at the front entrance to inform all vendors again of our safety policies for the venue. All vendors and delivery drivers are required to wear a mask and use hand sanitizer before entering the venue, as well as maintain a physical distance of two metres from all staff and guests.
